The National Institute on Drug Abuse Summer Research Internship Program supports undergraduate students with a focus on increasing underrepresented populations in drug abuse and addiction research.  Through this program, students age 18 years and older are introduced to the field of drug abuse and addiction research by participating in research internships with NIDA funded scientists at universities across the United States.  Students work with leading scientists for eight weeks during the summer.  The internship may include laboratory experiments, data collection, data analysis, formal cou

The Monell Science Apprenticeship Program’s mission is to stimulate an interest in biomedical science or medicine as careers – particularly in groups typically underrepresented in science, including females, ethnic or racial minorities, and the economically disadvantaged.

Fellowship Dates:

Virtual Fellowship Program (Amsterdam, Berlin, Sarajevo, and Warsaw): June 1 - 23, 2021, followed by individual Action Project implementation. There will be mandatory bimonthly group sessions from September 2021 until February 2022. 
 

German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) RISE (Research Internships in Science and Engineering) program

RISE stands for Research Internships in Science and Engineering. RISE Germany offers undergraduate students from North American, British and Irish universities the opportunity to complete a summer research internship at top German universities and research institutions. RISE Germany is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.

Energy Research Undergraduate Laboratory Fellowships places students in paid internships in Science and Engineering at any of several Department of Energy facilities. Many of the participants in the program have decided on a career in science and engineering because of the nature of the experience. Students work with scientists or engineers on projects related to the laboratories’ research programs.
