Hi everyone! I’m Vincent and I’m a junior majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology & Political Science. Very excited to help as you explore research options at Penn!

Since freshman year, I’ve been working at the Wistar Institute in the Herlyn Lab, studying the melanoma tumor microenvironment using humanized bone marrow-liver-thymus (BLT) mouse model. My current project focuses on hyper-activating transcription factors to derive lymphoid cells from iPSCs. I’ve also spent the past summer in Penn Medicine’s Center for Personalized Diagnostics (CPD), conducting clinical research on the implications of two rare but recurrent mutations in cancer.

Outside of research, I also do advocacy and policymaking work primarily relating to healthcare. I’m also a co-president of the newly founded Locust Health Connect, the Penn chapter of a multi-university prehealth society. Feel free to reach out with any questions about biomedical research, public policy, pre-medicine, work-study, or just your day!
