Dr. Dawn Langan Teele holds a B.A. in Economics from Reed College in Portland, Oregon, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Yale University. Her research focuses on gender and politics through a comparative lens, asking how women historically gained access to political citizenship; the process by which women emerge as political candidates in the present day; the formation of social movements around women's issues; and, finally women's political behavior as voters and elected leaders. She is also interested in social science methodology, and was the author, most recently, of an edited volume published by Yale University Press, entitled Field Experiments and Their Critics.
