Before coming to Penn, I was lucky enough to have some research experiences and know that research was something that I wanted to continue at Penn. As an aspiring physician, I wanted to shift my focus from wet lab research, which I had thoroughly enjoyed, to clinical research which is an area that I had not had an opportunity to explore before Penn. I began working at the Adult Congenital Heart Center with CHOP and Penn Med, where I was able to get a fully immersive clinical research experience. I learned about an entirely new way of conducting research that I was not even aware of before this experience. Currently, I am working at the Computational Memory Lab, taking the knowledge that I have learned in my neuroscience courses and applying them directly to the research that I am doing. I am able to work directly with human participants, learn how to do complex data analysis and am even completing my honors thesis!

If you have any questions about how to get involved with various types of research, navigating the many helpful resources at Penn, or anything about life or Penn in general, please don’t hesitate to reach out, I’d love to chat and get to know you!
