Arriving at Penn, I was driven by a passion for research but had interests in so many fields that I didn't know where to begin. The wonderful thing about research, I've learned, is that there is so much flexibility to pursue interdisciplinary projects; even within a neuroscience lab, there are opportunities to use your coding skills to build models. Now a member of the Eisch Lab, I've honed skills in mouse handling, tissue extraction, neuroanatomy, and advanced microscopy techniques. I've also been fortunate to engage beyond the lab, participating in Penn Dance, Penn Chamber, and advising the College Dean as a member of DAB. If you're seeking guidance on navigating research, juggling extracurriculars, or simply want to chat about how to choose a lab when you have interests in a plethora of fields, don't hesitate to reach out.
