I’m Alyssa, a junior in the College studying computer science and cognitive science!

With no research experience before coming to Penn, I participated in the Research Assistant Training Program (RATP) run by MindCORE my freshman year. This program helped teach me the basics of conducting research and the skills needed to be a research assistant, and even connected me to several labs. I am currently working under Dr. Swingley at the Penn Infant Language Center studying how infants acquire language. This work led to my own research interests evolving to include computational linguistics and natural language processing, as well as pursuing a linguistics minor.

Outside of research I enjoy art, baking, and going to the farmer’s market—feel free to reach out and talk about any of the above at any time!
