Y.H. Park Fellowship in Korean Studies
Open to US Citizens & non-US Citizens
The Y.H. Park Fellowship funds a Ph.D. or a master’s student in the humanities, social sciences, international management, international studies, or fine arts whose primary research area is Korea and whose dissertation will be on Korea. The Park Fellowship will cover the cost of Reduced PhD Tuition, a 12-month stipend and health insurance.
Applicants are expected to continue their scholarly activities outside of Korea after completion of their degrees. They must have sufficient Korean-language proficiency to use Korean-language sources in conducting research and writing dissertations.
In preparing to apply for this Fellowship, please prepare the following in a single .pdf named YOURLASTNAME_yourfirstname.pdf (FRANKLIN_benjamin.pdf for example):
- A synopsis (no more than 2 pages) of your research agenda
- a brief statement of your career plans
- your CV
- an unofficial copy of your Penn transcript or PennInTouch transcript page
