Mentor Areas

Dr. Strain's research focuses on the analysis of non-linear partial differential equations which arise in physical contexts. He has particular interests in the equations of gas dynamics and fluid flow, such as the Boltzmann equation and the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. Recently, he has also been working on Free boundary problems and Harmonic analysis.
