The MindCORE Initiative at the University of Pennsylvania offers a paid ten-week summer research program for undergraduate students from Penn (the Lila R. Gleitman Summer Fellowships) as well as for select students from other institutions. We seek a cohort of students from diverse backgrounds who are interested in interdisciplinary approaches to the study of the mind and brain. Our Program includes one week of workshop-style sessions with faculty as well as a short course in programming, followed by nine weeks of research experience in a MindCORE-affiliated faculty member’s lab.
Following the class of 2021–22 fellows, the MUCF will pause to conduct a thorough evaluation and assessment of program goals and strategies. During this process, the foundation will analyze the program’s achievements, identify opportunities for improvement, and strengthen best practices for revitalized programming that is equal to the challenges and opportunities of the moment.
PCI Ventures is initiating our next cycle of the Volunteer Internship Program. PCI Ventures supports the commercialization of technologies developed by the Penn community through company formation and entrepreneurial endeavors. We engage with Penn faculty, staff and students through programs such as this. We have over 60 active companies in our PCI Ventures portfolio.
A committee of Gates Center faculty and staff will select highly qualified undergraduates to work full-time in laboratories located at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
GSIP is a full-time training program that spans 11 weeks from May to August.
In addition to working in Gates Center member's laboratory, interns will participate in weekly GSIP seminars, social events and community service. They will also present their summer research project in a poster session at the Final Day Program.
The Center for Ethics and the Rule of Law (CERL) at the University of Pennsylvania is accepting applications for the Center’s 2019 Summer Internship Program. The Summer Research Program in Life Sciences and Technology at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), will offer an intensive research training opportunity to 25 undergraduate students interested in research careers in life science. A financial compensation for living and housing expenses are provided for all successful candidates.
