Most generally, I am interested in the field of algebraic topology and its potential applications. Starting in 2020, I have been doing a research project with Professors Konstantin Mischaikow and Marcio Gameiro of Rutgers University in which we’ve been studying how computational topology can be used to investigate the dynamics of biological regulatory networks. In the summer of 2021 as part of the UChicago Mathematics REU, I did a project on the relationship between finite topological spaces and discrete Morse theory, the latter of which is a useful tool in computational topology. Currently, I am working on a project in 2D topological quantum field theories and the category of 2-dimensional cobordisms. Outside of research, I am part of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and am a co-president for the Penn Undergraduate Math Society.
