My research focuses on a diverse array of urban studies-related themes, relating to the historical track record of various urban policies in the United States as well as contemporary policies, initiatives, and infrastructure/development projects relating to housing/urban development and sustainable transportation. Of particular interest to me are how these disciplines play out and are related to one another in Latin America and Francophone Africa, especially in contexts of informality and their funding. I am currently involved in Francophone Community Partnership, a club at Penn that brings together Francophones on campus and in West Philadelphia's West African community for mutual learning and cultural connection.
