Meredith Tamminga, PhD
Meredith Tamminga received her PhD in Linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania in 2014. Her research involves quantitative and experimental approaches to the study of language variation. She is interested in how socially-meaningful intraspeaker variability in language is perceived and produced, as well as the implications of such variability for language change over time. She directs the Language Variation and Cognition Lab and teaches courses in sociolinguistics and quantitative methods.
