My research interests are focused on neurodegeneration and developing therapeutic strategies to combat disorders that affect the brain. I worked in the Cormode Lab under Dr. Mathilde Bouché as a research assistant my freshman year. With the support of University Scholars, I conducted an independent project studying the optimization of the drug delivery rate under stimulus from a hydrogel for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), an aggressive brain cancer. Currently, I am furthering my interest in neurodegenerative diseases as a research assistant in the Yang Lab; however, plans are on hold due to COVID restrictions. Outside of research, I am an active member of VSA, Penn Benjamins, PhiDE, and I volunteer at the Magee Rehabilitation Center.
