Hello! My name is Sydney, and I am a sophomore majoring in neuroscience. Currently, I work with the EDEN Lab under Dr. Rebecca Waller to explore how environmental factors and parental behaviors affect callous and unemotional traits in children. In high school, I conducted research on preventative dietary treatment measures for Alzheimer’s disease under the mentorship of Dr. Ai-Ling Lin at the University of Kentucky. Outside of research, I am involved with the Penn Epistle, a Christian journal at Penn, and Penn for Youth Debate, a non-profit that promotes critical thinking skills among younger students in Philadelphia.
