My primary focus is in the intersection between technology and healthcare, specifically how we can utilize technology to help shape the future of healthcare and medicine. Since the beginning of my sophomore year, I have been working with Professor Jason Moore, the director of the Institute of Biomedical Informatics on various data analytics projects. My first project was looking at electronic medical records (EMRs) and seeing whether there were certain factors that lead to sepsis, utilizing the PENNAI system that was created in Professor Moore's lab. My current project is looking at two different aspects of a large dataset of malaria from three states in India. The first is whether repellent is a good factor at determining if someone will catch malaria and the second is whether certain strains of malaria cause different kinds of symptoms. Outside of research, I am currently on 2 different dance teams at Penn: PENNaach and Penn Thillana. If anything sounds interesting, please feel free to reach out!
