Research has given me a complementary perspective on my academic interests. Beyond my major in Biology, my coursework in Deaf Studies and Sign Language has been my favorite. I've learned about the cultural and social understandings of Deafness, and through my regenerative medicine research on the auditory pathway, I get to understand the clinical side of deafness. I joined this lab in the summer of 21 through PURM, and I'm so excited to continue there until I graduate. As a transfer student - which meant I had one year less at Penn - I felt extra pressure to navigate and narrow down on all the research opportunities out here. Through my not-so-good to great research experiences, from behavioral research to wet-lab work - I have plenty to share and I'd love to hear from you! Please reach out anytime :)
