Abenezer Lemma

As a freshman whose resume did not include extensive research experience, I was anxious to apply for research roles or reach out to faculty. Early on, in my freshman year, I was able to talk to an RPA who encouraged me to go through the CURF research directory and reach out to labs of my interest. Shortly after, I was able to connect with a Cardiac Imaging group and work with Dr. Han at Penn Medicine. Currently, I work at the Roberts Center for Pediatric Research in the Cardiology department as a research assistant. We are involved in various projects including, a correlational study that compares ECGs and ECHOs of patients with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). I am here to provide the same support I received and more, so I full-heartedly encourage you to reach out.
