Aditi Doiphode

Hi, my name is Aditi! Part of the Class of 2024, I am a Health & Societies major and pursuing minors in Biology and Chemistry in the College. In high school, I worked at the Lengner Lab at Penn, conducting molecular biology research examining intestinal stem cells. Now, I work with Dr. Harald Schmidt in Penn’s Department of Medical Ethics & Health Policy. My project focuses on how disadvantage indices can be used to provide needed resources to vulnerable populations, such as COVID-19 vaccines. My research has exposed me to so many opportunities to get involved in the health policy field and to expand my knowledge beyond my academic courses.

Pursuing research can be really intimidating but often proves to be a really rewarding experience! The hardest part can sometimes be finding what you are interested in. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about any step of the process!
