As an incoming freshman at Penn, I really wanted to be part of the research community on-campus. However, I had no clue in terms of where to begin my search. Luckily, being part of the CURF research mixers and RPA events, clarified my interest in being part of a lab. I got to understand what being part of the research community was like, and gained insights regarding how to make the most out of the experience. Currently, I conduct research with the Paralkar Lab, studying how transcription factors and other related proteins affect normal hematopoiesis or blood cell development.

Furthermore, I am part of various other clubs on campus, including Education Pipeline, Synapse, and Peer Advising Program. I am also an aspiring Pre-med, currently fulfilling my Pre-med courses this year. I cannot wait to share my experience with everyone, and guide you to achieve your research goals this year. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have about conducting research on-campus, especially within biology/biomedical science!
