Center for High Impact Philanthropy

The Center for High Impact Philanthropy is a nonprofit research center formed through the collaborative efforts of the School of Social Policy & Practice and alumni of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. The Center provides independent analysis, educational programming, and other decision making tools for donors, investors, and advisors around the world who are interested in moving from good intentions to high impact.

Association of Alumnae Rosemary D. Mazzatenta Scholars Award

The Association of Alumnae of the University of Pennsylvania has established the Association of Alumnae Rosemary D. Mazzatenta Scholars Award in the School of Arts and Sciences to recognize and support female undergraduates for academic achievement and demonstrated service to country, community, and family during the summer after their sophomore or junior year in the College.

Vagelos Undergraduate Research Grant

The Vagelos Undergraduate Research Grant funds an independent scholarly project conducted by an undergraduate student during the academic year.

Thune Summer Travel Fellowship Fund

Deadline: 03/20/2025 (Tentative)

Funding for History of Art majors and minors to support summer travel as part of honors thesis research in the History of Art.

Terry B. Heled Travel & Research Grant

The winner of the Terry B. Heled Travel & Research Grant will receive $2,000 toward the costs of travel for research that will lead to a significant writing project. The travel and research will be conducted during the summer (between mid-May and the end of August). Candidates who propose a trip of longer rather than shorter duration will be given priority, and candidates who propose to travel beyond North America will also get priority, but any travel plan—to any place, of any length—will receive serious consideration based on the quality of the project.

Leonard Davis Institute Summer Undergraduate Minority Research Institute

The Leonard Davis Institute Summer Undergraduate Minority Research Program provides undergraduate students with an opportunity to receive a stipend to conduct health services research on a topic of their choice, under the guidance of Penn faculty.

Seltzer Family Digital Media Awards

Deadline: 04/01/2025 (Tentative)

Each award will provide to $1,000 for the purchase of hardware or technology (with nominal spending on software and supplies) for students to use for 1 year to pursue a digital media project.

School of Engineering Undergraduate Research Fund

Undergraduate research experiences serve as a hallmark of undergraduate education at Penn Engineering. Grants through the Undergraduate Research Fund will promote undergraduate research, and enable students to explore their innovative ideas and concepts in new and emerging technologies as well as the applied sciences. The Undergraduate Research Fund is made possible through generous gifts by supporters of Penn Engineering’s undergraduate educational initiatives

Pincus-Magaziner Family Undergraduate Research Fund

2nd or 3rd year students majoring in Art History, English, Literature, Biology, Mathematics, or Neuroscience are eligible to apply for research and travel support from Pincus-Magaziner funding each Fall and Spring semester through the College Alumni Society Research Grant program.
